The Safe India Hero Plus Award ceremony was organized on 1 September 2023 at Hotel Taj Palace, Mumbai. In this ceremony, Mr. Shankar Puri Goswami, Senior Fire Safety Officer, Shalby Hospital, Indore was honored with the Best Fire Fighter and Best Safety Professional Award.

The chief guest of the event was Shri Suresh Khade, Labor Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Santosh Warik, Chief Fire Officer, Mumbai, Director of Maharashtra Fire Service, and CFO of MIDC, who honored the winners.

On this occasion, Dr. Vivek Joshi, Medical Superintendent of Shalby Hospital, said, “Apart from medical facilities, Shalby Hospital also takes all the safety precautions in the hospital, for which we have an efficient team. We are proud that the firefighter of Shalby has received this honor. On behalf of the entire Shalby family, we congratulate him on this achievement.”

Shankar Puri Goswami, Senior Fire Safety Officer, Shalby Hospital, who received the award, said, “I am very happy to receive this award, I would like to thank the entire team of Shalby Hospital for their full support. The hospital is equipped with all the necessary safety equipment. I have previously been awarded the Fire Safety National Building Code Maintenance and Installation Award while at Shalby.”
