WORLD THALASSEMIA DAY 

Today is World Thalassemia Day. It is observed every year to raise awareness about thalassemia, an inherited blood disorder. It is of two types, major and minor. People with thalassemia major need constant blood transfusion. Dr. Aishwarya Raj, Hematologist, Shalby Hospitals Ahmedabad talks about this serious blood disorder in detail.
