NEWBORN CARE WEEK

Newborn Care Week is observed every year from 15th to 21st November. A child is the most vulnerable in the first 28 days of life (neonatal phase). the neonatal phase has the highest child mortality rate. This first month also sets the foundation for a child’s health. The care and effort we put into a baby’s health at this time will determine how healthy he/she will be as an adult. Shalby Hospitals Ahmedabad’s Senior Pediatrician Dr. Rajen Udani and Obstetrician & Gynecologist Dr. Swati Chitnis talk about this in detail.
