Shalby Multispecialty Hospitals Mohali established in 2017 is a pioneer in medical excellence to deliver quality healthcare services to the tri-city of Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula. The hospital is gradually emerging as a leader in the cochlear implant surgeries and has to its credit of performing a rare and simultaneous bilateral cochlear implant surgery in both the ears of a 5-year-old. With a large team of experienced and expert doctors, the centre conducts a number of health camps regularly in the region, many of which are free camps as a part of its CSR activities. With a capacity of 100 beds and 25 bedded 24 X 7 ICU, Shalby Hospital Mohali has contributed a great deal in successfully tackling the emergency healthcare situations in this region. It is also one of the best centres for joint replacement surgeries and among the very few in the region to have advanced tholmium laser machine for urology surgeries.

2004

Incorporated as Shalby Hospital Private Limited at Ahmedabad as a private limited company under the Companies Act, 1956

Witnessed revenue growth 100 times in 10 years.
2007

Established First Flagship Multispecialty hospital in the heart of Ahmedabad on SG Highway with 201 beds capacity.
2012

Acquired Krishna Hospital, Ahmedabad with 220 beds and renamed Krishna Shalby

Further expanded in South Gujarat with one of the largest corporate hospitals in Vapi with 146 beds
2015

Footprints grew in Central and North India by establishing Hospital in Indore (243 beds), Jabalpur (233 beds) and Mohali (145 beds) to service patients’ needs.
2017

Went public with an IPO and registered on both premier stock exchanges i. e. NSE and BSE

Established Shalby Hospital at Jaipur (237 beds), Surat (243 beds), Naroda Shalby in Ahmedabad (267 beds) and Zynova Shalby in Mumbai (150 beds)

Capacity grew to 2000+ beds (10 times in 10 years)
2018

Shalby reached the milestone of having performed over 1,00,000 joint replacement surgeries
2021

Forayed into medical devices business by acquiring Knee and Hip Implants manufacturing assets from Consensus Orthopedics in Californica, USA

With this Shalby became the only vertically integrated hospital player in Orthopedics

Introduced asset light business model under Shalby Orthopedics Centre of Excellence (SOCE) brand for Orthopedics branch and opened first SOCE center in Udaipur.
2022

Received License to import knee and Hip implants in India. Established Second SOCE in Lucknow
2023

Received License to sell knee and Hip implants in Indonesia.

I started this journey with a personal vision of not letting any person in this country suffer from the unavailability of quality medical care. Back in 1994, I started Shalby Hospitals in Ahmedabad with an aim to provide excellent Orthopaedic facilities in Gujarat and to ensure people age gracefully with no joint complaints, especially after their 50s. Being an Orthopedic surgeon I was always focused on reducing patients’ trauma and enhancing their recovery which has inspired me to develop the “Zero Technique” for less invasive joint replacement surgeries.

We, at Shalby Hospitals, strive to provide quality healthcare to the people across the globe by inventing, adapting and imbibing world’s best technologies and innovations.
