WORLD HEART DAY

29th September is celebrated as World Heart Day across the world to spread awareness about the magnitude of heart disease and how we can prevent it. The theme for this year is Use Heart for Every Heart. Dr. Sukumar Mehta, the Senior Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Shalby Hospitals, explains that this line signifies that all of us including citizens, doctors, government as well as non-government organizations should work towards taking concrete steps to reduce the burden of heart disease. He also talks about some ways that can help prevent heart disease.
