Dr. Utkarsh specializes in liver transplantation, hepatobiliary surgery, and complex pancreatic surgeries. He has extensive experience in performing liver transplants, including living donor liver transplants and deceased donor liver transplants. His expertise extends to managing complex liver and pancreatic diseases, including liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, and bile duct injuries.

Dr. Utkarsh Shah is a Consultant Liver Transplant Surgeon and HPB Specialist, renowned for his exceptional expertise in complex liver and pancreatic surgeries. With a strong academic background and extensive training in liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery from various state of the art hospitals across the globe, Dr. Utkarsh has established himself as one of the expert figures in his field.

Dr. Utkarsh completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from NHLMMC and B. J. Medical College, Ahmedabad respectively, followed by super-specialty training in Surgical Gastroenterology at Lakeshore Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Kochi, where he was awarded the Doctorate of National Board (DrNB) by the National Board of Examinations.

He further specialized in Complex HPB Surgery and Liver Transplantation through a rigorous one- year fellowship at Max superspeciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi.

Dr. Shah actively participates in national and international conferences related to HPB surgery, liver transplantation, and surgical gastroenterology. He often shares clinical insights and innovative surgical approaches at key academic forums.

Dr. Utkarsh has contributed in a comprehensive HPB Surgery & Liver Transplantation unit at KD Hospital, Ahmedabad. He now serves as a Consultant HPB Surgery and Liver Transplantation at Shalby Multispecialty Hospital, Ahmedabad.

Throughout his career, he has been involved in more than 600 liver transplant procedures, including living donor, deceased donor (cadaveric), pediatric, and ABO-incompatible liver transplants. He also has extensive experience in all forms of complex liver, gallbladder, bile duct, and pancreatic surgeries.
