INSPIRED BY THE ‘ZERO TECHNIQUE” SURGICAL PROCESS INNOVATION OF DR VIKRAM I. SHAH, ORTHOPEDIC SURGEONS FROM CHINA UNDERGO “ARTHROPLASTY OBSERVERSHIP PROGRAM“AT SHALBY HOSPITALS

Shalby Hospitals, headquartered in Ahmedabad is renowned the world over for its Orthopedic Excellence- Joint Replacement.

As part of disseminating knowledge about the latest techniques in Orthopedics to doctors across the world, Shalby through its educational wing- Shalby Academy offers “Arthroplasty Observership Program & International Visiting Fellowship Program in Arthroplasty”, spanning from few days to 3 months.

Dr Vikram Shah, Chairman & Managing Director, Shalby Hospitals is the Director of this program, where as Dr. J.A. Pachore, Director, Hip Replacement, Shalby Hospitals is the Course Director.

Through this program, Surgeons are trained on the basics of Knee and Hip Replacement surgeries and Revision Surgeries. So far, Shalby has trained over 500 orthopedic surgeons who are now serving the community by providing international quality standard in Orthopedic surgeries.

A team of  surgeons  from China  comprising Dr Shang Shoulu, Director, Taikang Jimin Ortho Hospital, Dr Lyu ShangJun, Director, NanYang City Ortho Hospital,  Dr Liu JunMing, Ortho Director, Jiyuan City Health School of Affiliated Hospital( Govt) and Dr Zheng  Quoxi, Ortho Director, Yanling Country Central Hospital (Govt) underwent an Arthroplasty Observership Program at Shalby Multi-specialty Hospitals, on October 22, 2019.

Interestingly, Dr Ashish Sheth, Senior Arthroplasty Surgeon, Shalby Hospitals, during his visit to China in March, 2019, demonstrated Shalby’s Zero Technique surgical process innovation and its benefits in Knee and Hip replacement surgeries at various hospitals there, which was highly appreciated even by the seasoned Arthroplasty Surgeons.
