Mayor Inaugurates Bus to Krishna Shalby Hospital

One of the laments of most patients coming to Krishna Shalby Hospital was lack of public transportation from Ghuma bus station to the hospital. Patients and staff using bus service had to travel the last stretch by auto rickshaws. Happily, that gap is now filled. The Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service [AMTS] has extended the route number 49 to touch Krishna Shalby Hospital at regular intervals. Now patients wishing to reach Krishna Shalby Hospital can use this service to either reach the hospital from Sarangpur, Ishkon Cross Roads, Bopal Ambli Junction or Ghuma bus station as all the preceding places are covered by the new bus route.

In a simple but heavily attended function, the Mayor of Ahmedabad Mrs Meenakshiben Dashrathbhai Patel inaugurated the maiden journey of AMTS route number 49. Mr Mahesh Patel, senior BJP leader was also present on the occasion.

The oldest employee of Krishna Shalby Hospital Pankajbhai did the puja and broke the ceremonial coconut while the Chief Guest the Mayor of Ahmedabad recited aarti.

On the occasion, which surely is a milestone in the growth and development of the Ghuma area and Krishna Shalby Hospital, the CMD of Shalby Hospitals Dr Vikram Shah, CEO Ravi Bhandari, COO of Krishna Shalby Hospital Dr Nishita Shukla, DGM Mr Hitesh Patel were also present, along with over 100 staff members and invited guests.

The first trip of the bus took the outbound staff of Krishna Shalby Hospital who had done a night shift and were on their way home.
