It is a matter of great pride for Punjab and Shalby Hospitals that Dr Harinder Singh Bedi – Chief Consultant Cardio Vascular Endovascular & Thoracic Sciences at Shalby Hospital Mohali – was invited to deliver 2 guest lectures at the prestigious Medinspire 2019 mega conference by the DY Patil University in Mumbai from 15 – 17th Feb 2019.

Dr Bedi delivered his first lecture on beating heart arterial bypass surgery .He is a pioneer in this field having the world’s first series of 100 patients with multi-vessel beating heart surgery with angiographic follow-up. This technique was published in the medical journals and in the Limca Book of World Records.

His second lecture was on 3D Printing technology for treating a large lung malformation – a first time procedure in the world.

These lectures were much appreciated by a large National and International congregation of heart surgeons including Dr Prof Alistair Royse from Australia, Dr Carlos from Zurich, Dr Asai from Japan and Dr KM Cherian from Chennai.

Dr Bedi said that at Shalby Hospital, Mohali all such procedures are carried out with a full time Heart Care Team in place.
