Dr Sukumar Mehta is having an experience of 37 years in performing operations on the heart, lungs and arteries of the entire body. He is a pioneer of open heart surgery and coronary artery bypass graft surgery in Gujarat.

Specialization

• Coronary bypass surgery, valvular heart surgery, treatment of failing heart, mechanical circulatory support.
• Adult cardiac surgery, treatment of a failing heart, ECMO therapy, mechanical circulatory support.
• Prevention of heart failure and Cardiovascular Stroke.

Participated in Advanced Cardio Thoracic Surgery Workshop at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, USA in 2002.
